What’s happening in Minnesota is unacceptable. Communities are facing anti-democratic abuses, illegal ICE raids, and what amounts to a federal occupation meant to intimidate immigrants and crush lawful protest. These actions threaten basic civil liberties and set a dangerous precedent for the entire country.

Otsego County cannot look away. By donating to the Minnesota organizations listed below, you are directly supporting immigrants, protestors, and families resisting injustice and defending democracy. Solidarity doesn’t stop at state lines—and now is the time to act.

• Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM): Provides high-quality legal services, education, and advocacy for low-income immigrants and refugees.

• Conversations with Friends (CWF): Offers immediate help to those released from ICE detention, providing backpacks with essentials, bus fare, and meals.

• COPAL (Community Organizing Political Action & Leadership): Trains "constitutional observers" to monitor ICE activity and support immigrants.

• Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC): Organizes community support, including food cards for families in hiding or separated.

• ACLU of Minnesota: Protects and promotes civil liberties in Minnesota through lawsuits, lobbying, and public education, working on issues like racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, immigrant rights, privacy, and police reform.
